Our Purpose

The Guidance and Counseling Program at Aliso Niguel High School seeks to positively impact the lives of students by partnering with parents, community, faculty and staff.  Our program offers comprehensive planning and guidance services addressing student academic and career goals, as well as personal and social needs.  We work to give students the opportunities to acquire the educational and social competencies necessary for their growth toward lifelong success and effective, responsible citizenship for a diverse and changing world.

Spring Schedule Changes

Academic Advisors will be available to make allowable schedule changes for the spring semester from December 2nd through December 6th. Allowable schedule changes are leveling (ex AP United States History to United States History or Honors English 2 to English 2) and changes necessary for sports. Unfortunately, teacher and period requests cannot be accommodated.

Please be advised that there may be changes to your student schedules due to adjustments needed with the spring master schedule.  We do try to limit the impact to student schedules; however, some period and teacher changes may occur. Schedules can be viewed on the student/parent portal on Friday, December 13th at 4 pm.

Students have 10 days to level a course upon return from winter break.  The deadline to level is Friday, January 17th.

Spring After Bell Electives Available!

There are semester college and career course available for Spring.  Please view the available semester courses on the link below then register for the CCA after-bell classes on the Google Registration Form. Please see your academic advisor if you have questions.

 Saddleback College at ANHS

We are fortunate again this year to have a Saddleback College counselor at Aliso. Beginning January 14 and every Tuesday and Wednesday thereafter students will be able to schedule a one-on-one appointment in the ANHS library. All grade levels are welcome! Please schedule an appointment through Sign Up Genius. See Mrs. Dittrich in Guidance with any questions.
