California Scholarship Federation


California Scholarship Federation, or CSF, is an academic honor society that allows for high achieving student to highlight their academic as well as community service endeavors. Students who achieve lifetime membership (by meeting guidelines set forth by the governing body) by their senior year will be allowed to wear either a cord or a stole during graduation to display this accomplishment.  All 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are eligible to apply for membership at the beginning of a semester. 9th graders may apply for auxiliary membership during the second semester. Monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month in the theatre. If a student is unable to attend this meeting, they may attend a makeup meeting on the first Friday of the month in Mrs. Sepe's room.


Members may apply at the beginning of each semester. (Students are required to submit a new application at the beginning of each semester to re-apply) Applications are based on a grade point scale (for more information see the application in the locker). A transcript printed out from the Parent Portal is required with each application to verify grades. To remain an active member students must: Complete 5 hours of community service (each semester), Attend a college activity (one each semester), and attend 3 of the 4 meetings each semester. A $5 per semester donation is requested to cover the cost of state chapter dues, but is not required. Students may subscribe to the CSF list serve to receive updates and notifications by sending an email to Mrs. Sepe at with your name, grade, and that your are in CSF.
