Course Change Requests

 A level change is when a student moves from a more rigorous level of a subject to a less rigorous level of the SAME subject.

  • Students may request a level change up to sixth week of school
  • Requested subject change may cause one or more additional courses to change periods or teachers
  • Absolutely NO period or teacher requests will be considered
  • The withdrawal grade from the former class will be transferred to the new class
  • Change request forms must be signed by the student, parent and teacher/coach before submitting to the academic advisor. Emails and phone calls from parents will not be allowed in lieu of a signature
  • Allow up to 48 hours for change requests to be processed.
  • IMPORTANT: Students must continue to attend all classes on their schedule (including the one they are trying to change until their academic advisor confirms that the change has been approved

The schedule for Senior finals in second semester is altered. Seniors will take their finals starting:

Tickets are on sale now at the Activities window.  Window hours are before school (7:30am), lunch and after school until 3:15pm.  All seniors receive 5 FREE tickets for their family.  Additional tickets are available for purchase $10 each (up to 10 additional).  Children under 3 do not need a ticket as they are expected not to take up a seat but sit on the lap of a ticket holder. 


Summer 2018 Drivers Education Registration

No registrations accepted after  May 25, 2018


Course term:  June 4 - August 15, 2018


This online Drivers Education course is equivalent to a regular 30-hour classroom course and has been examined and authorized by the Licensing Operations Division of the DMV. Please note that this is the classroom section, not the behind-the-wheel course. Students who successfully complete this course, which includes an online exam, will receive an official DMV Certificate of Completion. This is required to obtain a learner's permit for all drivers between the ages of 15 ½ and 18 years old.

  • Open to all CUSD students who are at least 15 years old by August 15.
    • Students cannot complete the course prior to turning 15.
  • There is no charge for CUSD students to take this course.
  • No transcript units will be granted for this course.
  • Students must complete the online curriculum by August 15.
  • Students may take this course only once in Fall, Spring, or Summer.
  • Instruction is through MyCaliforniaPermit.com.
  • Email with password information will be sent to parents/students on June 1.
